Battlegrounds Mobile India receives 20 million pre-registrations on Google Play. Developed by Krafton, a South Korean video game developer, pre-registration for the game went live on May 18. It received 7.6 million pre-registrations on its opening day, surpassing 20 million pre-registrations in two weeks.
Krafton CEO CH Kim thanked the Indian fans for their response and said, “We would like to express our sincere thanks to our Indian fans for their overwhelming response to the BATTLEGROUNDS IP, first developed by me and my team in 2017. The BATTLEGROUNDS IP received love and acclaim from gamers around the world, and KRAFTON will continue to rely on intellectual property. That effort includes bringing amazing content to BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA and bringing an unmatched battle royale experience to our players. ”
Battlegrounds Mobile India pre-registration is only open on the Google Play Store which is on Android phones at the moment. However, Krafton confirmed that the iOS counterpart is in the works and could be arriving soon.
The release date, however, is not officially confirmed. But apparently, the launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India may take place on June 18.
