Britain’s plans for school return under review
LONDON: The UK is planning a staggered return for high school students after the Christmas break, but this is being examined in the face of a spread of a new variant of the coronavirus, Cabinet Minister Michael Gove said on Monday.
Gove said the current plan was for GCSE and A-level students this year and key workers’ children to return to school next week and for other high school students to return next week. But he said this could be changed.
“We keep things under review and talk to teachers in the next 24, 48 hours just to make sure our plans … are really solid,” Gove told Times Radio.
