Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan‘s upcoming film, Acharya, is all set to see the light of the day next year. The makers announced the film’s release date with a new poster. According to the latest announcement, Acharya is all set to hit the theatres on February 4, 2022. Directed by Koratala Siva, Acharya is a commercial entertainer also starring Kajal Aggarwal, Sonu Sood and Pooja Hegde.
The film was launched in October 2019. Principal photography began in January 2020 but the production has been delayed owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially scheduled to be released on 13 May 2021, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India. The film is now scheduled to be released theatrically on 4 February 2022.

Casting
Trisha was cast in a lead role but she walked out of the film citing creative differences. Makers approached Kajal Aggarwal instead and Aggarwal confirmed that she was doing the film. There were reports that Mahesh Babu was approached for an extended cameo. However, Chiranjeevi confirmed that his son Ram Charan would be doing the role. Pooja Hegde is cast opposite Charan. Regina Cassandra was signed for a special song.

Back in August 2021, the makers of Acharya announced that the shooting of the film is close to completion. Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the shooting and release of Acharya were delayed. Soon, the makers will wrap up the entire shoot.

Acharya is an action drama, written and directed by Koratala Siva. The film was initially slated to release in theatres on May 13, 2021. However, it was postponed due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, Acharya has a new release date after several months.
The film is jointly produced by Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment. Acharya’s technical crew comprises cinematographer Tirru, editor Naveen Nooli and music composer Mani Sharma.
