Genshin Impact Plot and story so far
Genshin Impact follows the story of two twins who travel from place to place, passing stars. On such a journey they happen to discover the Land of Teyvat. Watching the war raging in the Khaenri’ah region, they quickly decide to leave this place. However, when they tried to leave, a mysterious god appeared before them. Here the player has the option to choose between girl twins or boy twins. The god then captures one twin and seals the other for 500 years. The sealed twins wake up and meet a fairytale creature who calls her Paimon. She calls him the traveler. They then travel to Monstadt to search for the missing twin brother.
After battling the dragon named Stormterror, Venti, Paimon, and the Traveler are confronted by La Signora, a Fatui Harbinger, where she steals Venti’s Gnosis. Later, Venti advises the pair to look for Rex Lapis, the Geo Archon. When they arrive in Liyue, they witness the death of Rex Lapis during a ritual. And their hopes of learning more about the sibling waned. There they meet Childe, a Fatui Harbinger who is secretly searching for the Lapis’ Gnosis himself. They later discover that Zhongli, an undertaker, is the human vessel of the Geo Archon. However, he had secretly contracted La Signora and gave her his Gnosis.
When they return to Monstadt, Traveler meets a man named Dainsleif. Together they investigate the Abyss Order. In doing so, Traveler meets his long-lost sibling, who is now the leader of the Abyss Order. They explain to Traveler the true nature of Dainslief and how the Abyss Order and all those monsters are actually the people of Khaenri’ah. They part with the promise that sooner or later they will reunite.
