Neha Kakkar recently released a new version of the song ‘Kanta Laga’. The song is a collaboration between Neha along with Tony Kakkar and Yo Yo Honey Singh. While many praised the party song, others criticized the singer for her appearance from the video of her where she can be seen in an ensemble similar to that of American rappers Cardi B and Nicki Minaj.
Neha shared stills from the video, decoding her appearance from her music video. She can be seen dressed in a bright pink corset, off the shoulder and sleeves with a teal skirt. Her blonde hair can be tied with a scarf.
Fans took to her comment section and trolled her for her look. One comment read: “Didi shakira banne ki jagah Fakira lag rhi ho”. While another user said, “Bhutni lag rahi ho nehu”. One user compared her to the American rapper, “Cardi B sasta version”, another added, “Lagta hai Jasmine Sandalas ka jootha paani pi gyi”.
Added more comments like, “Bhojpuri Item girl ka aur sasta version”; “When you’re trying to be Cardi B and Nicki Minaj” and more. Neha’s husband, Rohanpreet Singh, also commented on the image, writing, “Are you for real?”
Speaking about the song, Neha told IANS, “I’ve sung with Tony and Yo Yo Honey Singh before. It was so much fun getting together for ‘Kanta Laga.’ Singing with these two artists was a party in itself and now that the we invite everyone to come party with us “.
Directed by Mihir Gulati, the song is released under Anshul Garg’s Desi Music Factory label. The song also reached 50 million views and Neha also celebrated on social media. She thanked her fans for all their love and support.
