Pakistan k2 naplease climbers
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has abused the team of Nepalese mountaineers because they made a history by reaching the world’s second highest mountain peak, K2, in winter.
K2 is on Pakistan’s side of the Karakoram range and is one of the 14 highest mountains in the world.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri cites the expedition in a tweet as one of the most popular achievements in mountaineering and wished the climbers a safe return from the summit.
The spokesperson said Pakistan is the ultimate destination of mountaineering.
On Friday, a group of Nepal mountaineers successfully climbed up world’s second-highest mountain K2 as they become first to scale the summit in winters.
According to details, the Nepalese men, consisting of ten mountaineers, will be the first to reach K2 in winter, as the Himalayan peak was the only remaining winter scale out of all the 14 top mountains in the world.
