2018 Winner: Saeed Akbar Khan Nawani won as an independent candidate in the 2018 general election of PP-90. He later joined PTI at the insistence of businessman Jahangir Khan Tarin.

This year, Nwani was disqualified by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for a vote against his party in the Punjab premiership election.
Competing Candidates
The PML-N party has allocated the ticket to Nwani for the upcoming secondary poll.
The PTI sent Irfanullah Niazi, cousin of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Who can win?
Nwani has a good chance of securing the by-election. First, it is a return filter. Secondly, it is “electable” and has its own voting bank, and now it also has the support of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), which has a large number of voters in the constituency. Third, Al-Nawani from this circuit competed seven times and won the majority of the time.
The Nwani family name carries a great influence in the region.
A big drawback to Niazi from PTI is that until last month he was on PML-N. In fact, he was nominated by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for this constituency in the 2018 elections.
