PUBG Mobile season 18 should coincide with the release of patch 1.3.0, which is currently only available for testing on the game’s test server. The new patch includes the introduction of new maps, weapons, game mechanics, and more.
What does the PUBG Mobile version 1.3.0 update include?
Headlining Patch 1.3.0 are the two new maps. First up is Karakin, a smaller-scale 64-player Battle Royale map that encourages fast and aggressive play. The other is Code-C, a new Arena map perfect for mid-range shootouts.

PUBG Mobile Royale Pass offers a free basic version, but its rewards are limited and generally not that impressive. If you’re looking to spruce up your character in something a little fancier, then you’ll have to pay to unlock the pass’s premium rewards.

PUBG Mobile Season 18 Update Karakin Map
Karakin (Arabic: كاراكين) (Code Name: Rapide) is the fifth playable map of BATTLEGROUNDS, Karakin is a 2×2 km island off the coast of North Africa. Karakin is the first map where BATTLEGROUNDS implemented a Black Zone, where the layout changes every game.
Instead of the normal 100-player battles that take place on other islands, this island only has 64 players. It is an arid and rocky environment that offers open terrain and challenging confrontations. It’s small, fast, and dangerous – expect Miramar’s tension combined with Sanhok’s pace.
Designing the Black Zone posed a lot of technical challenges, the buildings in Karakin compared to the buildings on other maps. Each building has a demolished version of itself, so PUBG Corp had to develop new procedures and pipes to create all this new art.
Maya and Houdini’s tools allowed them to create the destroyed shells of the buildings much faster. The next challenge was gap walls because gap walls were difficult to design visually as PUBG relies on realism so they didn’t want to have a large cartoon space on the wall so they designed it out of the box.
in a way that balances the realism, but keeping it where you knew and you can distinguish which walls can be broken. The last challenge was bullet penetration, this feature is not everywhere due to the fact that it is quite a mastered feature.
PUBG Corp designed special walls that look like drywall so you can easily tell that you can shoot through them. This gives the player the ability to hear other players that you wouldn’t normally hear or sneak around while getting brief glimpses of where the enemy is.
Smuggler tunnels are a good way to sneak up on or through mountainous areas where you don’t want to be exposed. Although not all bunkers will lead to tunnels and not all tunnels will connect to each other. You can enter these tunnels by using the bunkers and blowing up the walls with sticky bombs.
