Acting career

Early career (2005–2010)

In 2005, Lakshmi made her Tamil film debut in Kalka Casadara after director R. V. Udaya Kumar saw her performance in the Kannada short film “Valmiki.” Since then, she has appeared in many Tamil films, including the comedy film Kundakka Mandakka (2005) on the other side of R. Parthiban, the action film masala Dharmapuri (2006) in Perarasu, and the romantic film Nenjai Thodu (2007).

In 2008, she began working on more serious films, such as her own dramatic film Velli Thirai and the action thriller Dhaam Dhoom directed by Jeeva. She received positive comments about the latter’s interpretation from a lawyer.
