Anand L. Raksha Bandhan is an upcoming Indian Hindi language comedy-drama film directed by Roy and produced by Sea Studio, Color Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films. The story written by Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon revolves around the love, relationship and intimacy between brothers and sisters. Raksha bandhan Akshay Kumar and Bhoomi Pednekar play the lead roles. Kumar’s sisters Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Saadiya Khateeb and Smriti Srikanth are among the recurring actors. The movie will be released in theaters on August 11, 2022.

Release
Initially, Raksha bandhan was scheduled for a worldwide release on Diwali on November 5, 2021, but due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the release was postponed due to huge delays in pre – production and casting. The new movie release date of August 11, 2022 was later announced along with Raksha bandhan and India’s Independence Day holidays.
