Russell Armstrong was an American investment banker and venture capitalist who had a net worth of – $ 1 million at the time of his death, according to various reports. With his wife Taylor, he became famous after appearing on the first season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Russell Armstrong was found hanging from an electrical cord at a friend’s home in Hollywood, California. The coroner’s report shows that suicide by hanging was the cause of death for Russell Armstrong. Recent toxicology reports also indicate that Armstrong had no illegal drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of his death.

However, members of Russell Armstrong’s family opened a recent murder investigation into the cause of his death. The Armstrong family believes there may have been foul play, as he may have been murdered due to actions related to his finances. They will reportedly hire a private investigator to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death. “None of us (his family) believe that he committed suicide,” Laurie Kelsoe, Armstrong’s sister, told the gossip site rumorfix.com.

TMZ reported that Russell Armstrong’s friend Alan Schram was found dead from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Alan Schram was found in a car parked outside the home where Armstrong’s body was discovered the day before.

Other cast members of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” confronted Taylor Armstrong over allegations that her husband, Russell Armstrong, had physically abused her. Before her suicide, Bravo television planned to air the shocking revelation of her abuse as part of the season two finale.

Russell spoke about the negative impact the show had on his lives. “This reality TV show has literally pushed us to the limit,” he told People magazine.
