Netflix Wednesday crossed 1 billion views in a single month
Tim Burton’s Wednesday is the second most watched show of all time on the platform. An offshoot of the classic Addams Family, the series ran for 8 episodes and the show has already surpassed 1 billion views on Netflix in a single month since its release.
This is only the third series that has surpassed that record. The first two series to achieve this milestone were Stranger Things Season 4 and Squid Games. Given that both series were huge hits globally, there’s no denying that Tim Burton did a fantastic job with Wednesday.
Breaking Dahmer’s record!
On Wednesday, a comedy horror, it topped out Ryan Murphy’s popular serial killer docu-series called Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. The streaming site released the information based on its most popular list, which counts the number of views on each of its shows. It counts the views of the first 28 days of its launch.
By the 28th, Dahmer had received 856.2 million hours of playing time, while on Wednesday he already surpassed that with a week to spare. A total of 150 million family views have been obsessed with Wednesday and that’s more than Stranger Things 4 did in its first 28 days.
There is a high probability that by the time these 28 days are up, Wednesday will surpass Stranger Things 4.

The series has been nominated for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy and Jenna Ortega has been nominated for Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy in the 2023 Golden Globe Awards. The award ceremony will be aired on 10th January 2023 in Beverly Hills, California.
